Sunbeams streaming through leaves reminds me

two movie films. The one of them is‘Ashes and

Diamonds’ directed by Andrzej Wajda which

I saw some day in the sixties,  the another is also

Polish film ‘Pora umierac’ ( ‘Time to die’ in English, 

‘At a House in Sunshine Filtering through

Foliage’ in Japanese),  directed by Dorota Kedzierzawska

I saw  this year.  In the former,  oppressively thrilling

story of people bravely devoted themselves in

Resistance,  I was deeply impressed by a quiet scene

with no one but shadow of a small branch slightly

swaying in thin sunshine.  The latter will be upcoming.

木漏れ日、で思い出した。いつごろ見たのか

はっきりしないが、五十年以上も前に制作された

ワイダ監督の映画「灰とダイヤモンド」と今年見た

ケンジェジャフスカ監督の「木洩れ日の家で」。

前者は第二次世界大戦末期のレジスタンスやテロなど

殺伐とした時代の物語。観る側も緊張を強いられるなかで、

ひとつのシーンが強い印象を残した。濃い鼠色に近い

黒と黄みがかった暖かみのある白との柔らかい

コントラストで見せる、いかにも頼りなげに差しこむ

光にたゆたう小枝の影（いや、カーテンの影だったか？）。

終盤近く息詰まる展開のなかに、さり気なく挿入された、

空白の刻（とき）・・・青年の惨めな死を

予告するかのような、虚ろな空間・・・淡い逆光・・
